eufy Error 6 — Robot suspended in the air
DIRECT ANSWER
COMMON CAUSES · RANKED
Robot half over a step or ledge MOST COMMON
Stopped on a stair nose or raised threshold, the drop sensors correctly report open air below.
Dusty drop sensors
A film of dust over the sensor windows makes normal floor read as a drop — the official fix is a dry-cloth wipe.
Dark carpet or strong sunlight fooling the sensors UNCOMMON
Very dark, light-absorbing floors and direct sun can skew the infrared reading in one specific area of the home.
HOW TO FIX IT
Move the robot to flat floor
Place it on level, open floor near the position where the problem occurred, as eufy's alert text instructs.
Wipe the drop sensors
Turn the robot over and wipe every drop sensor window on the underside with a clean, dry cloth.
Restart and watch the trouble spot
Start the clean again. If the error always fires on the same dark rug or sunny patch, fence that area off in the app.
