Roborock Error 13 — Charging error
DIRECT ANSWER
COMMON CAUSES · RANKED
Dirty or corroded charging contacts MOST COMMON
Dust, mop moisture and oxidation build an insulating film on the contact strips. Roborock recommends alcohol or an eraser to cut through it.
Loose dock cable
The plug under the dock works itself loose. Roborock's own fix is to push the cable head in hard.
Dock power supply fault UNCOMMON
The dock light should be on with the robot off it, and off with the robot docked. Any other pattern points at the dock.
HOW TO FIX IT
Unplug the charging dock before wiping its contacts, and never use a dripping-wet cloth on them.
Clean both sets of contacts
Wipe the strips on the dock and under the robot with a cloth dampened in alcohol, or rub with an eraser to lift rust and stains.
Verify the dock light
Solid light with no robot, light off when docked — that is a healthy dock.
Reseat the dock cable
Push the cable head firmly into the slot on the underside of the dock.
Power-cycle the dock
Unplug the dock, wait two minutes, plug it back in, and dock the robot again.
Still failing? Try another outlet or dock
If a cleaned robot fails on a verified-good dock, the fault is inside the robot — contact support.
